When it comes to life’s stains, some are more stubborn than others. When it comes to mouthwash, that’s definitely case. Whether it’s due to the dye in the product, or because of its acidic properties, mouthwash stains can be tricky to remove.

But don’t despair—there are a few ways to get stubborn mouthwash stains out of your favorite bandana. Here’s how to do it:

Method 1: Vinegar Solution

Mix one part white vinegar with two parts warm water. Then dip the stained area of the bandana into the solution for about five minutes. The acidity of the vinegar will help break down the stain. After five minutes, rinse the bandana with fresh water. For tougher stains, you can add a teaspoon of baking soda to the mix.

Method 2: Hydrogen Peroxide

Another effective way to remove mouthwash stains from bandanas is with hydrogen peroxide. Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and warm water in a bowl, then soak the stained areas of the bandana for about 10 minutes. Rinse with fresh water and repeat if necessary.

Method 3: Rubbing Alcohol

If the previous methods don’t work, try using rubbing alcohol. Put a few drops on a dry cloth and gently rub the stained area until the stain is gone. Rinse with cold water afterwards.

Method 4: Dishwashing Detergent and Hot Water

For extra stubborn stains, mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with one cup of hot water. Dip the stained area of the bandana into the mixture and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse with fresh water afterwards.

With these simple methods, you can get those pesky stains out of your favorite bandanas in no time. Just remember to always test these methods out on a small, inconspicuous area of the garment before applying them to the entire bandana.
