When it comes to getting rid of mouthwash stains from clothing, the first step is to rinse the garment with cold water. Make sure to do this immediately after noticing the stain, as fresh stains are much easier to remove than old ones. You'll also want to avoid using hot water as this could cause the stain to sink deeper into the fabric.
The next step is to create a paste of baking soda and water. Make sure the paste is thick enough that it won't easily run off garment. Once it's ready, rub it into stain using circular motions until the entire affected area is covered. Allow the paste to sit for 10-20 minutes, then rinse with cold water again.
Now, it's time for a quick vinegar soak. Mix equal parts water and white vinegar and submerge the garment completely in the mixture. Let it sit for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, but no more as the vinegar could start to wear away at fabric. Afterwards, rinse with cold water once more and wash the garment as normal.
If you still notice any traces of the stain remaining, you can repeat process until the spot is completely gone. Just make sure to not use too much baking soda or vinegar, as this could damage the garment.
With these tips, you'll be able to get rid of those pesky mouthwash stains with ease, leaving your clothing looking like new!
