Step 1: Gather Materials

To clean your backpack, all you need is some warm water, white vinegar, and mild dish soap.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Before you begin, you’ll want to pre-treat the stain by blotting it with a clean rag and some warm water. This should help to loosen up the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Mix Vinegar and Soap

Once you have pre-treated stain, mix one part white vinegar and one part mild dish soap together in a bowl. Stir the mixture until it forms a soapy solution.

Step 4: Apply Solution

Take a clean cloth and dip it into the soapy solution. Gently rub the solution onto the stained area of the backpack, using circular motions. Let the solution sit and soak into the stain for several minutes.

Step 5: Rinse the Backpack

After letting solution sit, rinse the backpack with warm water. You may need to repeat steps 3-5 several times in order to fully remove stain.

Step 6: Air Dry

Once you have removed the stain, hang the backpack up to air dry. Do not put backpack in the dryer; this could cause fabric to shrink.

And You're Done!

With a little bit of effort, you can easily remove even the toughest mouthwash stains from your backpack. And now that your backpack looks squeaky clean, it can go wherever you do!
