At first, it may seem like a daunting task to remove a mouthwash stain from your favorite American Eagle piece. But with a little know-how and right supplies, you can easily restore your garment to its original glory in no time.
The first step to removing a mouthwash stain is to blot out as much of the stain as possible. Grab a clean cloth and blot the stain gently until the excess mouthwash is removed.
Once you have blotted out stain, it's time to wet the area with water. Dip the cloth in warm water and lightly wet the stained area. Be sure not to over-saturate the fabric or it may shrink or discolor.
Now it's time to apply detergent to get rid of the mouthwash stain. Choose a mild detergent, such as dish soap, and rub it into the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.
If the stain is still persistent, it's time to use vinegar. Mix white vinegar with an equal part of warm water and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before washing garment with warm water.
After all that, it's time to wash the piece of clothing. Put the garment in the washer and use a mild laundry detergent. Dry garment on low heat and inspect it for any remaining stains. The mouthwash stain should be gone!
With a few simple steps, you can easily clean mouthwash stains from your American Eagle clothing. All it takes is some patience and the right supplies, and you'll be able to restore your favorite pieces to their original look in no time!
