Mouthwash can leave a stubborn stain on alpaca fabrics if not cleaned immediately. Fortunately, it’s easy to remove these stains with right approach and a few household items.

This tutorial will teach you how to clean mouthwash stains off alpaca fabric without damaging or discoloring material. All you need is a few minutes and some common supplies.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

You won’t need much to clean your alpaca fabric of mouthwash stains. All you need is some dry cleaning solvent, a small bowl, and a soft cloth.

Step 2: Test the Solvent

Before using the dry cleaning solvent on the alpaca fabric, make sure to test it in an inconspicuous area. This will help you determine how the fabric will react. Once you’ve tested it, you can move on to the next step.

Step 3: Apply Solvent

Pour some of the dry cleaning solvent into the bowl and submerge the cloth in it. Gently dab the mouthwash-stained area with the cloth, making sure to not rub the fabric too hard. Once stain has been removed, rinse cloth in cold water before continuing.

Step 4: Rinse the Fabric

Once all the mouthwash has been removed, soak the fabric in cold water for a few minutes to rinse away any residue from the dry cleaning solvent. Then, lay fabric flat on a towel and let it air dry.

Step 5: Repeat as Needed

If the stain is still visible after the first round of cleaning, repeat steps 3 and 4 until it’s gone. Make sure to use a gentle touch when applying the dry cleaning solvent, as rubbing too hard could damage the alpaca fabric.
