The first step is to rinse stain with cold water as soon as possible. This will help to dilute the stain and prevent it from setting in fabric fibers. For best results, rinse from the back side of the garment, as this will keep mouthwash from spreading.
Once you’ve rinsed the stain, you should pre-treat the fabric with a gentle detergent. Use a white cloth or sponge to apply the detergent to the area and massage it into the fabric. Let the detergent sit for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
Finally, wash dress in the washing machine, using the gentle cycle and cold water. You may also want to add a color-safe bleach to wash to help remove any remaining stains. After the cycle finishes, hang the dress up to dry.
