Materials Needed

  • White cotton cloth or paper towels
  • Mild soap solution
  • Hairdryer

Step 1: Blot the Stains

Use a white cotton cloth or paper towel to absorb as much of the medicine stain as possible. Do not rub the fabric - this could spread the stain. Continue blotting until no more of stain can be lifted.

Step 2: Prepare a Soap Solution

Prepare a mild soap solution with lukewarm water, a teaspoon of mild detergent, and a 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Apply a few drops of the solution directly to stained area and use your fingers to gently massage it into fabric.

Step 3: Rinse and Air Dry

Rinse the tie with clean, lukewarm water. Use a hairdryer to blow-dry the fabric until it is completely dry.

Step 4: Repeat as Necessary

If the stain is still visible after completing these steps, repeat the process until the stain has completely disappeared.

Conclusion

Cleaning medicine stains from a white tie is easy - just follow these simple steps and your tie will look good as new!
