Medicine spills and stains can be difficult to remove, especially from delicate fabrics like Venetian lace. To effectively remove the affected area without damaging your fabric, start by following these simple steps:

  1. Gently scrape off any thicker parts of the stain.
  2. Soak a clean cloth in cold water and blot area, starting from the outside of the stain and working inward.
  3. Mix 3 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 cup of cold water, then use the solution to gently dab over the stained area.
  4. Soak a clean cloth in cool club soda and dab over the stained area until the stain is gone.
  5. If the stain persists, mix 2 tablespoons of liquid dish detergent with 2 cups of cold water and dab over the stained area. Let the solution set in for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
  6. Allow fabric to air dry completely.

If the stain still won't come off, there are some other cleaning solutions you can use such as hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, or white vinegar. However, be sure to test these solutions on a hidden area of the fabric first to make sure they don't damage the fabric. If they do, stop and contact a professional cleaner.

Finally, if stain is still present after cleaning, it may be permanent. In this case, it's best to contact a professional dry cleaner who specializes in delicate fabrics.
