Using a soft-bristled brush or a putty knife, gently scrape away any excess product residue from fabric. This will make it easier for the product to penetrate the fabric later on.
Mix together a solution of 1 part dish soap and 1 part white distilled vinegar. Soak a clean cloth into the mixture and generously apply to the stained areas. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes before scrubbing the stained area with a soft-bristled brush.
Spray a liberal amount of laundry detergent directly onto the stained area and gently scrub with a soft-bristled brush. Allow detergent to sit and penetrate fabric for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
Mix together 2 tablespoons of enzyme cleaner in 1 quart of cold water. Soak a clean cloth into the mixture and apply to the stained area. Allow mixture to sit for 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
Soak a clean cloth into an oxalic acid solution created by mixing together 1 teaspoon of oxalic acid powder and 1 quart of cold water. Apply the cloth to the stained area and let sit for 30 minutes before thoroughly rinsing with cold water.
Finally, launder the fabric as you would normally according to its care label instructions. Be sure to wash with like colored items.
With these easy steps, you will be able to remove medicine stains from your Vans quickly and easily. Just remember to always take great care when handling any type of chemical solution and to always wear protective eyewear and gloves when needed.
