Things You'll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • White paper towel
  • Liquid laundry detergent

Step 1: Act Quickly

As soon as the medicine stain has occurred, it’s important to act quickly. If the stain sets, it will be much harder to remove. Use a white paper towel to blot up any excess liquid. Don't rub or scrub the fabric.

Step 2: Soak with White Vinegar

Soak the affected area with white vinegar and let it sit for around 10 minutes. The vinegar helps to break down the stain, making it easier to remove.

Step 3: Apply Liquid Detergent

Once the area has been soaked, apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent to the stained area and rub it in. Then rinse area with warm water and repeat the process until the stain has disappeared.

Step 4: Air Dry

Once you have removed the medicine stain, pat the area dry with a clean white cloth and leave it to air dry. Don't use a clothes dryer because the heat may set the stain, making it impossible to remove.
