Before you can start cleaning the medicine stain, you will need to remove any leftover pieces of medicine or debris that might still be present. Use a damp cloth or paper towel to carefully absorb the debris, being careful not to spread it around or rub it in surface.
Next, create a vinegar solution by mixing equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl or spray bottle. If you prefer, you can also substitute the vinegar for rubbing alcohol. Whichever solution you choose, make sure it is an equal mix of the chosen liquid and water.
Once you have vinegar solution made, apply it directly to the medicine stain. Let the mixture sit for about five minutes, allowing it to penetrate and start breaking down the stain. After five minutes, gently scrub the stain with a soft brush or cloth.
Once you have finished scrubbing the stain, it’s time to rinse away the vinegar solution. Use a damp cloth and cold water to carefully rinse off the area in water. This will help ensure that any remaining residue is washed away.
Finally, allow the area to air dry completely. After the area is completely dry, if you still see any remaining residue, repeat steps two through five until the stain is gone.
