Using a paper towel or clean cloth, blot the stained area until no more liquid is absorbed. Do not scrub or rub the stain as this can cause it to set further into the fabric.
Mix 1/4 teaspoon liquid, non-bleach laundry detergent with 1 quart of warm water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the mixture and then apply it onto stained area. Work from outside of the stain towards the center to prevent spreading it further.
Rinse the area with cold water and gently blot it dry with a paper towel or cloth. Make sure to not rub the stained area while blotting instead of rubbing.
Once the area is dry, launder the item as the instructions indicate. Ensure that the item does not go through dryer before checking for any remaining stain, as heat will set the stain further into the fabric.
