What You'll Need

  • White eraser
  • Soft brush
  • Clean cloths
  • Warm water
  • Mild detergent
  • Dry cleaning solvent

Step 1: Gently Erase the Stain

If the stain is still fresh, start by using a white eraser to gently erase the surface of the stain. Start at one edge and move slowly outward, being careful to use light pressure. Do not rub the stain, as this could further spread it into the fabric. Remember to periodically check if any of the stain has been removed and stop once the stain is gone.

Step 2: Brush Away External Particles

Use a soft-bristled brush to gently brush away any external particles that might have been left over. Make sure to go in the same direction as suede fibers.

Step 3: Blot the Stain

Once the visible particles are gone, take a clean cloth and blot stain with warm water. Be sure not to rub the stain as this could cause it to spread further. Keep blotting until the stain is no longer visible.

Step 4: Apply Detergent

Once the stain is gone, you can apply a tiny amount of mild detergent to the area and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Afterward, use a damp cloth to wipe away the detergent and any residue from the stain.

Step 5: Apply Dry Cleaning Solvent

Finally, if the stain persists, use a dry cleaning solvent to target the source of the stain. Allow the solvent to sit for a few minutes, then use a damp cloth to wipe away any residue.
