Before you begin, make sure that you have all of the necessary materials on hand. These include laundry detergent, a clean cloth, a bleach solution, and a mild dishwashing soap. Additionally, for best results, you should also use a soft-bristled brush if you have one.
Once you’ve got your materials ready, it’s time to pre-treat the stain. Make a solution of one part mild cleaning soap and two parts water in a small bowl. Dip a clean cloth in the solution, then dab the cloth on stained area. Let the solution sit on the stain for about 10 minutes.
After the pre-treatment has had a chance to do its job, it’s time to really dig in and start cleaning. Begin by wetting a cloth with warm water and squeezing a few drops of laundry detergent onto it. Gently scrub the stained area until the medicine stain is removed.
If the stain persists, try dipping the cloth in a bleach solution and repeating step three, being sure to rinse and dry the fabric afterwards. If the stain still won’t come out, try using a soft bristled brush to get into the fibers of fabric.
Once the stain is gone, be sure to completely rinse and dry the fabric before wearing or storing it. Sunlight can also help to fade any residual stains, so hang the sports bra on a clothesline and let it dry in the sun.
With right knowledge and a little bit of elbow grease, you can easily get rid of medicine stains from your sports bras. Just be sure to take all the necessary safety precautions and always follow the instructions on cleaning products you use.
