In order to effectively clean medicine stains off shantung fabric, you will need to have the following items at hand: sponge, dish soap, white vinegar, bucket, and lint-free cloth. That’s it!
Mix three parts water and one part vinegar in the bucket. You can add a few drops of dish soap if you want to give the cleaning solution more power.
Dampen the sponge with the solution and start scrubbing the stained area. Put some effort into it but don’t rub too hard, so you don’t damage the fabric. You can repeat steps 2 and 3 if the stain doesn’t come out the first time.
After the medicine stains have been removed, use the lint-free cloth to pat the area dry. Leave the fabric to air-dry naturally.
Take the fabric to a professional dry cleaner and get them to do the final touches. With this method, your shantung fabric should be nicely restored and free of any medicine stains.
