Using a dull knife or the edge of a spoon, gently scrape away any excess medicine that may have dried on the fabric. Be careful not to rip or tear fabric as you are doing this. Removing as much of the residue as possible will make the next steps easier.
Take a soft-bristled brush and rub a few drops of degreasing soap into the stained area. This will help break down stain and make it easier to remove. Allow the soap to sit for 10 minutes before moving onto next step.
Rinse the stained area with cold water. Make sure to rinse until the soapy residues are completely removed. Do not use hot water as this may further set stain.
Fill a container with cold water and add one cup of white vinegar. Submerge the stained area in solution and allow it to soak for 30 minutes. If necessary, you can let it soak for longer. This will help break down the stain and make it easier to remove.
Once the stained area has been soaked, rinse it thoroughly with cold water and then allow it to air dry. Do not put fabric in the dryer, as this may set the stain.
