Before you do anything else, take a closer look at stain to identify what type of mark it is. Different stains require different solutions. In general, medicine stains tend to be dark spots that are usually tinged with a reddish hue.
Once you’ve identified the stain, pre-treat the area with a laundry detergent that’s designed for use on delicate fabrics. Make sure to read label and follow the instructions carefully. Once you’ve pre-treated stain, allow the solution to sit on the sarong for 5-10 minutes.
Mix a gentle cleaning solution using equal parts white vinegar and distilled water. Use a soft cloth to apply solution directly to the stain, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Re-apply the solution as necessary until the stain has faded.
Rinse the sarong in cold running water to remove any excess cleaning solution. Make sure to rinse both sides of the fabric, then hang it outside or lay it flat to dry.
If the stain is still there, repeat steps 2-4 until the stain has been completely removed. Keep in mind that this process may take several attempts before stain is gone.
Getting red medicine stains out of sarongs isn’t always easy, but fortunately there are a few simple steps you can take to get rid of them. By pre-treating stain and using a gentle cleaning solution, you should be able to get rid of those annoying stains in no time.
