What You Need:

  • Cold water
  • Towel
  • Dish soap
  • Laundry detergent

Step 1: Blot the Stain Immediately

The first step is to quickly grab a towel and begin blotting the stain. Blotting will help prevent the stain from spreading any further.

Step 2: Wash the Stain with Cold Water

Once you have blotted the stain with a towel, you can then begin to wash the stained area with cold water. Doing so will help dilute stain and hopefully make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Apply Dish Soap & Rub

Take a drop of dish soap and rub it into stained area until a lather is created. Allow it to remain there for a few minutes before blotting area dry with a towel.

Step 4: Launder Robe

Once you have removed the stain as much as possible, you can then place the robe into the washing machine on a gentle cycle and use laundry detergent to help remove rest of the stain.

And That’s It!

Following these four simple steps should help you restore your robe to looking like new again. Remember to always use cold water and dish soap when pre-treating stains and never use hot water, bleach, or fabric softener.
