Materials You Need

  • White vinegar
  • Cold water
  • Small bowl
  • Cleaning cloth

Step One: Wipe Away Remaining Medicine

Using a clean cloth, wipe away any remaining medicine from the shoe. Be sure to keep the cloth away from areas of the shoe that are not affected by the medicine, such as the soles and the tongue.

Step Two: Create a Vinegar Solution

In a small bowl, mix equal parts of white vinegar and cold water. Stir the mixture until it’s well combined.

Step Three: Dip Cloth in Solution

Dip the cloth in the vinegar solution and then wring out the excess liquid.

Step Four: Wipe the Stain

Use the cloth to gently rub away at the medicine stain. Be sure to only rub in one direction, as scrubbing in circles can make the stain harder to remove.

Step Five: Rinse with Clean Water

Dampen a clean cloth with clean water and gently wipe the area where you just applied the vinegar solution. This will help remove vinegar residue and leave your shoes looking clean.
