Before you begin, make sure you have the materials necessary for cleaning. You will need a clean towel, an old toothbrush, liquid laundry detergent, white vinegar, and a spray bottle.
It’s important to test a small area of your Puma shoes for colorfastness before beginning the cleaning process. Apply a few drops of detergent onto an unnoticeable area of the shoes and let it sit for five minutes. If color is unchanged, then the shoes are suitable for cleaning. If not, discontinue the process immediately.
Mix equal parts of liquid laundry detergent and white vinegar in the spray bottle, filling it ¾th full. Shake it up lightly and spritz the mixture onto the area with the medicine stains. Allow the mixture to sit for five minutes before moving on to the next step.
Use a damp cloth or an old toothbrush to scrub the area with gentle back-and-forth motions. Be sure to only use light pressure. If the stain does not come out immediately, reapply the detergent-vinegar mixture and allow it to sit for 10 minutes before scrubbing again.
Rinse off the area with cold water and allow it to air-dry. Do not put the Puma shoes in the washing machine or dryer. Avoid direct sunlight when drying and only wear the shoes when they are completely dry.
With these easy steps, you can easily remove medication stains from your Puma shoes. Always remember to test the shoes for colorfastness before starting the cleaning process and rinse and dry shoes thoroughly afterwards.
