If the stain is still fresh, scrape off the excess medicine with a spoon. You should do this as soon as possible to prevent it from seeping deeper into the fabric. Once all of the excess has been removed, rinse the spot with cold water. This will help to remove some of the remaining residue.
After rinsing as much of the stain away as possible, mix one tablespoon of dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and rub stained spot until it begins to fade. Do not scrub too hard, as this can damage the fabric. After applying cleaning solution, rinse the garment in cold water.
If the stain persists, use a product like OxiClean to treat the affected area. Fill a bucket with enough hot water to cover the entire garment and add 1/2 cup of OxyClean. Let the garment soak in the mixture for at least an hour before rinsing it in cold water. Repeat process if necessary.
Removing medicine stains from pants doesn’t have to be a daunting task. With the right tools and techniques, you can easily erase any stain and restore your favorite pair of pants back to its former glory. In no time, you'll be able to wear your pants with pride once again.
