Use a clean washcloth to blot the stain gently, taking care not to spread it around. Blotting is important because it helps lift away the excess medicine without pressing the stain further into fabric.
Mix together one tablespoon of laundry detergent and one cup of warm water. Use a clean washcloth to apply the solution to the affected area, making sure to dab gently so as not to rub the medicine further into the fabric. Let the mixture sit on stain for at least 15 minutes.
After letting the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes, use a clean wash cloth and warm water to rinse the area. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove any traces of detergent or medicine.
Mix two tablespoons of white vinegar and two tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl. Dip a clean washcloth into the mixture and use it to gently scrub the stained area. Leave the mixture on the stain for at least five minutes before rinsing with warm water.
Once all the steps have been completed, launder the garment as usual. It may take more than one laundering process to completely remove the stain, so be sure to check the garment after each wash to make sure medicine stain has been completely removed.
Cleaning medicine stains from nylon may seem like a daunting task, but with the right tools and a little patience, you can quickly and easily remove these unsightly blemishes. Just remember to be patient and follow the steps outlined above for best results.
