Medicine stains, such as liquid antibiotics, topical creams, and ointments, can be especially hard to remove from fabrics like Marcella. Fortunately, there’s a simple solution that you can use at home to get rid of the stains without needing to take fabric to a dry cleaner. In order to clean medicine stains from Marcella, follow these steps:

  • Start by pre-treating the fabric with water and detergent. Use a soft brush to gently scrub the area until it is completely saturated.
  • Once the fabric has been dampened, mix a solution of one part vinegar to four parts water and apply to the stained area. This will help break down the medicine residue and remove any odors.
  • Allow solution to sit for 10-15 minutes before washing the fabric in the washing machine on a normal cycle with cold water.
  • Once the fabric has been washed, check the stain to see if it is still visible. If so, repeat above steps and allow the fabric to sit for a longer period of time before laundering again.
  • If the stain remains after laundering, try spot treating it with a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Be sure to test fabric in an inconspicuous area first and then proceed with caution.
  • If stain still persists after all of these treatments, it may be best to simply get rid of the affected garment.

By following these easy steps, you should be able to easily remove medicine stains from Marcella garments and have them looking good as new in no time.
