Keds can be incredibly comfortable, lightweight and stylish shoes - but sometimes it's difficult to keep them clean, especially when you're dealing with medicine stains.

Medicine stains can be caused by a variety of substances including lotions, creams, and ointments. It's all too easy for these substances to transfer onto the shoes and leave behind an unsightly stain. Fortunately, there are a few simple steps you can take to get the medicines stains off.

What You'll Need

  • Small brush (nail brush or toothbrush)
  • Laundry detergent
  • Clean cloth

Instructions

  1. Gently brush the stained area with the small brush to remove any excess material.
  2. Apply the laundry detergent directly to the stained area. Gently rub the detergent into the fabric with your fingers.
  3. Leave the detergent to work on the stain for 10 minutes.
  4. Wipe off the detergent with a clean cloth.
  5. Wash the Keds in the washing machine on a gentle cycle.
  6. Air-dry the Keds.

These easy steps will help you quickly and easily remove medicine stains from your Keds shoes. With just a few simple supplies and a bit of elbow grease, you can keep your shoes looking good as new.
