Kate Spade products are known for their timelessness and elegance – they’re sure to make a statement no matter where you go. But, if your sleek and stylish bag has been stained by medicine, don’t fret – you can easily restore it to its former glory.
Whenever you find a stain on your bag, the best thing to do is to act fast. The sooner you address stain, easier it'll be to get rid of it. This is especially true with medicine stains since the longer they sit, the harder they become to remove.
Before you start cleaning, it’s important to check if this method will work for your specific bag. To do this, select an inconspicuous area of bag and apply a few drops of cleaner on it. If the color fades or bleeds, switch to a gentler cleaning solution. If the color remains intact, continue to the next step.
Mix together equal parts warm water and mild detergent. You can also use a bit of baking soda, as this is often used as a cleaning agent for fabrics. Once the mixture has been blended, make sure to double check that this mixture does not change the color of the fabric.
Dab mixture onto the stain and then gently rub it in using a cloth. Use small circular motions to ensure that the mixture penetrates the fabric and fully removes the stain. Once that’s done, wipe down the area with a dampened cloth.
The final step is to let your bag air dry. Place it in a well-ventilated area and wait until it is completely dry. Once dry, carefully examine the spot to make sure that the stain has been removed.
