What You'll Need:
- Mild detergent
- Cold water
- Regular bleach
- Color-safe bleach
Instructions:
- Start by soaking garment with the stain in cold water for 30 minutes. If possible, use a bowl or bucket of cold water instead of a sink.
- Create a cleaning solution by adding 1 tablespoon of mild detergent and 1 tablespoon of regular bleach to 1 quart (4 cups) of cold water.
- Submerge the stained item into the solution and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Remove item and rinse it in cold water. If stain is still there, you can repeat the soak with color-safe bleach instead of regular bleach.
- Finally, launder the item with its normal cycle. If the stain persists, repeat Steps 1-5 before drying the item with heat.
Additional Tips:
- Make sure to wear gloves when handling the cleaning solution.
- It's important to pre-treat the stain as soon as possible for best results.
- Check the J Crew label on your garment for any special washing instructions.
