No one wants to get stuck wearing a stained hoodie. Unfortunately, spilled medicine can leave a nasty mess, especially if it's not caught immediately. Never fear though; removing medicine stains from a hoodie is easy, no matter what type of fabric it is made from.

Start by carefully blotting the stain with an absorbent cloth or paper towel. Don't rub, as that could cause the stain to spread or embed itself further into the fabric.
Next, turn the hoodie inside out and run cold water through the back of the stain. This helps to break up the chemicals in medicine, making them easier to remove. If necessary, use a mild detergent or some white vinegar to help loosen stain.
Once you have rinsed stain area, let hoodie dry naturally, outside if possible. If the stain persists, try wetting the hoodie and rubbing a bit of baking soda directly onto the stain. Use a soft cloth or sponge, and be gentle. Rinse the baking soda off with cold running water, then place the hoodie in the sun. The sun's rays are known to help fade stubborn stains.
If the stain still hasn’t come out, try using a laundry pre-treatment spray or gel specifically designed for removing tough stains. Follow directions printed on the bottle for best results.
Finally, when the stain has been lifted, machine wash hoodie as you normally would (unless the fabric has special care instructions). Once the hoodie is dry, examine the spot to ensure the stain has been entirely removed. If it remains, repeat stain removal steps until it’s gone.
