Materials Needed

  • Stain remover
  • White cloths
  • Mild detergent
  • Hot water
  • Warm iron (optional)

Step One: Pre-Treat the Stain

Start by using a stain remover to pre-treat the area. Apply the solution directly on the spot and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. This helps loosen the stain, making it easier to remove.

Step Two: Soak in Hot Water

Once stain has been pre-treated, fill a sink or basin with hot water and add a few drops of mild detergent. Soak the garment for at least 15 minutes - this will help lift the stain from the fabric.

Step Three: Rinse & Repeat

After soaking, rinse with cold water until all suds are gone. Then re-soak the article of clothing in hot water with a few drops of mild detergent for an additional 15 minutes.

Step Four: Air-Dry or Iron

Finally, garment should be left to air-dry or, if it’s a delicate fabric, iron on a low setting. Inspect the fabric for any remaining stains and repeat the steps above if necessary.
