Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Before you start, you’ll need a few supplies: dish soap or laundry detergent, hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar, a soft cloth, a plastic bowl, and a pair of gloves (if you’re dealing with an over-the-counter medicine).

Step 2: Soak the Hair Clips

Fill the plastic bowl with warm water, then add a few drops of dish soap or laundry detergent to the bowl. Submerge the hair clips in the mixture for about 10 to 15 minutes. This will help break up any residue left behind.

Step 3: Scrub Hair Clips

Once the residue is softened, use the soft cloth to gently scrub away stain. For tough spots, dip the cloth in hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar and continue scrubbing until the stain is gone.

Step 4: Rinse the Hair Clips

Rinse the hair clips off with warm water, then pat them dry with a towel. Be sure to clean any residue off the brush as well.
