Before attempting to remove any stain, it is important to make sure that you have the correct supplies so that you do not damage the fabric in any way. For this job, you will need a soft cloth, a bowl, warm water, liquid detergent, white vinegar, and some rubbing alcohol. Have all of these items on hand before proceeding.
Once you have gathered your supplies, fill the bowl with warm water and add a few drops of the liquid detergent. Then, completely submerge the stained area in the soapy water for about 15 minutes. This should help to loosen up the medicine stain and make it easier to remove.
Once the stain has had time to soak in the soapy water, apply a mixture of one part white vinegar and one part rubbing alcohol directly to the stain. Use the soft cloth to gently rub mixture into the stain until it is completely saturated. Allow the mixture to sit for another 15 minutes.
Once stain has had time to soak in the mixture of vinegar and rubbing alcohol, you can begin to rinse the area with warm water. As you do this, use cloth to gently blot the stain so that it is lifted off of the fabric. Be sure not to scrub or rub the fabric, as this could cause further damage.
Once the stain has been removed, lay fabric out flat in a well-ventilated area and allow it to air dry. Once it is completely dry, inspect area to make sure that stain has been completely removed. If not, you may need to repeat these steps until the stain is completely gone.
