Medicine spills, whether it be from a dropped pill bottle or an Owen-spilling moment, can leave unsightly, stubborn stains on furniture. It may seem tedious, but removing these marks is doable. Here's how:
- Gather all necessary supplies: mild laundry detergent, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, a clean cloth, and a soft-bristle scrub brush.
- Mix one teaspoon of mild laundry detergent and one cup of warm water in a bowl.
- Dip a clean cloth, such as a hand towel, into the mixture and wring out any excess liquid.
- Gently scrub the stain until the mark is gone and rinse area using clean water.
- If stain persists, mix one part white vinegar and two parts rubbing alcohol together and pour mixture onto stain.
- Let the solution sit on the fabric for 5 minutes before scrubbing it with a soft-bristle scrub brush.
- Pat dry the stain with a towel and, if you wish, apply a cleaner made specifically for the type of material that your furniture is made of.
It may take time and elbow grease, but with patience and the right combination of supplies, you can remove that medicine stain on your furniture once and for all.
