Treating with Detergents and Soaps

Most medical stains can be treated with a combination of water and laundry detergent or soap. To remove the stain, mix a small amount of detergent (liquid or powder) with some warm water. Make sure you aren’t using too much detergent, as this could make the stain worse. After the water-detergent mixture is combined, submerge the stained fabric in it and let it sit for at least an hour. Once the stains have had time to soak, wash the fabric as directed by its care label. After washing, you can use a stain remover or a color safe bleach on the remaining stain.

Using Silicon-Based Solvents

For some medical stains, a silicon-based solvent may help remove them. These solvents usually come in spray cans, so hold can far away from the fabric and spray liberally. Once applied, rub the area with an old toothbrush, then flush with cold water to remove the residue. To help prevent shrinking or discoloration, test the solvent on a hidden area of the fabric first. After the solvent has been applied, wash the fabric as directed by its care label.

Treating with Baking Soda

Baking soda can also be used to treat medical stains on Fendi clothing. To use baking soda, mix ¼ cup of baking soda with 2 cups of warm water and stir until a paste forms. Apply the paste to the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. After the paste has had time to soak, rinse the area with cool water. Repeat this process a few times until stain starts to disappear. Once the stain is gone, wash the fabric as directed by its care label.

Preventing Re-Staining

It may take multiple treatments to remove stubborn medical stains from Fendi clothing, so always make sure to check for any remaining residue before laundering the garment. If you notice any residual staining, re-treat fabric immediately to ensure that it doesn’t set in. This will help to prevent the stain from reappearing after laundering.
