Once you’ve noticed the stain, take a dull blade or spoon and scrape away any excess medicine off the fabric.
Gently rinse the affected area under cold running water. This will help remove any remaining residues that are still on fabric. Be sure to use cold water as hot water could set the stain into the fabric more.
Use an enzyme stain remover designed for use with fabrics and launderables, and apply it directly onto stain. Be sure to follow the instructions on package for best results.
Wash the item in the washing machine on the gentle cycle with an appropriate soap. Check the label of your item to be sure you are using the right type of detergent.
Once fabric has been washed, set the dryer to the low setting and let the item dry completely. Make sure to check the item regularly to make sure stain is completely gone.
By following these five easy steps, you can remove medicine stains from your cotton poplin fabric. Just remember to take your time, be patient, and always read the instructions on the items you are using.
