Step 1: Pre-treat the stains with laundry detergent

The first step in getting rid of those pesky medicine stains is to pre-treat them with laundry detergent. Start by wetting the stained area with warm water and then applying a liberal amount of laundry detergent to the stained area. Let the detergent sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

Step 2: Wash the pants in warm water

Once you've pre-treated the stains, it's time to wash the pants. Set your washing machine to warm water setting and add 1/2 cup of liquid laundry detergent. Place the pants into the machine and let them wash for about 15 minutes. Make sure to check the stained area to make sure the stain is gone before removing the pants from the machine.

Step 3: Hang the pants to dry

Once you've washed the pants, hang them up to dry. Do not put them in the dryer as this could set the stain and make it even harder to get out. Hang up pants until they are completely dry before wearing them.
