What You'll Need

  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Cotton cloth
  • Cold water
  • Optional: laundry detergent, ammonia

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Soak the stained area in cold water for about an hour.
  2. Mix a few drops of dish soap with a tablespoon of white vinegar.
  3. Dab the mixture on the stain using a clean cotton cloth.
  4. Gently rub the cloth together, working the mixture into the fabric.
  5. Rinse the area with cold water.
  6. If the stain persists, mix a teaspoon of laundry detergent (or ammonia) with one cup of water.
  7. Again, dab the mixture on the stain and gently rub the cloth together.
  8. Rinse the area with cold water.
