Step 1: Check the Label
The first step towards getting rid of any stain is to check the label on your garment and determine best method for cleaning it. Different types of fabrics have different requirements when it comes to cleaning, so be sure to determine the best treatment for your clothes.
Step 2: Pre-Treat Stain
Once you know what kind of fabric you’re dealing with, the next step is to pre-treat stains. Start by blotting area with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove any excess liquid and prevent it from spreading. Then, use a damp cloth to gently scrub the area until stain loosens up.
Step 3: Wash the Item
Once you’ve pre-treated the stain, it’s time to actually wash the item. If the item is machine washable, the best way to get rid of the medicine stain is to use a mild detergent and cold water. If the item is dry-clean only, then take it to dry cleaner as soon as possible to avoid setting the stain further.
Step 4: Check the Stains
After washing and drying the item, inspect the area to make sure stain has been completely removed. If it hasn’t, then repeat steps two and three until the stain is gone.
Bonus Tip: Use an Oxy Cleaner
If stain is still there after multiple attempts, you can try using an oxy cleaner to get rid of it. An oxygen-based cleaner will help break down the proteins in the stain and make it easier to remove.
