How To Easily Clean Medicine Stains from Brocade Fabric

Accidentally spilling medication on fabric can create a difficult to remove stain. If fabric is brocade, cleaning the stain may seem even more challenging. However, with the right supplies and simple steps, you can easily remove medicine stains from brocade fabric.

Supplies Needed

  • A bucket or sink
  • Laundry detergent
  • Oxygen bleach
  • White vinegar
  • Rubber gloves
  • Clean cloths

Steps to Follow

  1. Fill the bucket or sink with lukewarm water.
  2. Add one teaspoon of laundry detergent and one tablespoon of oxygen bleach.
  3. Stir the mixture gently until the detergent and oxygen bleach are dissolved.
  4. Soak the fabric in the mixture for 10 to 30 minutes.
  5. Empty the bucket or sink and rinse the fabric with cool water.
  6. If any stain remains, make a mixture of white vinegar and water and use a clean cloth to dab it onto stain.
  7. Allow the vinegar mixture to sit for five to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cool water and allow the fabric to air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Always wear rubber gloves when cleaning fabric with bleaches or vinegar.
  • Do not place brocade fabric in the washing machine or dryer.
