Steps for Cleaning Medicine Stains from Bottoms
- Check the label on the clothing to get instructions specific to that material.
- Create a cleaning solution by mixing one tablespoon of mild detergent (such as Woolite or Dawn) with two cups of cool water.
- Work the solution into stain using either your fingers or a soft-bristled brush.
- Let the solution sit for about 10 minutes.
- Next, rinse the area with cool water until the stain is gone.
- Then, blot away any excess water with a clean, white towel or paper towels.
- Apply a dot of laundry pre-treatment spray to area and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes.
- Throw item into the washing machine (on a cold cycle) with regular detergent.
- Make sure stain is gone before drying the garment.
Additional Tips
- Always use a mild detergent.
- Test the cleaning product on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first to make sure it won't discolor the material.
- If the stain is still present after washing, repeat the entire process.
