The supplies you need for cleaning medicine stains depend on what type of material your boots are made of. In general, you’ll need a mild detergent, white vinegar, and a soft-bristled brush. If your boots are leather, you’ll also need a leather-specific cleaner.
Before you begin cleaning the boots, first use a small amount of cleaner on an inconspicuous spot to check for any color fading or discoloration. If the cleaner damages the material, do not use it on the stained area.
Mix a teaspoon of mild detergent with two cups of warm water. For leather boots, add a tablespoon of white vinegar to the mix as well. Dip your brush into the solution and scrub the stain gently.
Once the solution is mixed, apply it to the stained area and use the brush to work it into a lather. Make sure to scrub gently, as harsh scrubbing could damage the material.
Once you’ve finished scrubbing, rinse the boots with cold water. Then, pat them dry with a clean cloth. Allow the boots to air dry completely before wearing them again.
