Step 1: Prep the Material

Before doing any kind of spot cleaning, always test the fabric on an inconspicuous area of the blouse such as in a seam or corner. Once you have confirmed that the material can handle the cleaning solution, wet the stained area with cold water. Make sure to work the water into the fabric and the stain.

Step 2: Create and Apply Cleaning Solution

Mix together a solution of one part rubbing alcohol and two parts detergent. Using a cotton swab, dab this solution onto the stain until the entire area is covered. Allow the solution to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing blouse in cold water.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once you have rinsed the blouse, check the stain to confirm that it is gone. If not, repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain has disappeared. Once you are satisfied, hang the blouse out to dry.
