Using a dry scrub brush, scrape off any excess medicine still on the belt. This will help make it easier for the cleaning solution to penetrate the fabric. Be gentle and don't damage material.
Mix up a cleaning solution of warm water, a tablespoon of laundry detergent, and a tablespoon of dishwashing soap. Stir until all ingredients are completely dissolved.
Use a damp cloth to apply the cleaning solution to the stained area. Work solution into the fabric using gentle circular motions. Allow solution to sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing with clean water.
After rinsing the cleaning solution off, hang the belt up to air dry. Do not put belt in a clothes dryer, as this may cause the belt to shrink. After belt is completely dry, inspect it to see if stain has been removed. Repeat the process as necessary until the stain has been completely removed.
