Before you start cleaning, it's important to check the label of your clothing to determine which materials it is made of and what kind of cleaning you will be able to do safely. Some fabrics, like rayon or silk, may require special care and attention when cleaning.
Take a dry cloth or paper towel and press it firmly against stain in an up-and-down motion to help get as much of the excess mayo out as possible. Don't scrub, as this might cause the stain to spread further.
Get a clean cloth damp with warm water. Again, remember to avoid using hot or boiling water, as this might damage the fabric.
Then, apply a dab of liquid detergent onto the stain. Work it in with your fingers or a soft brush.
Rinse the area with warm water until all of the soap has been removed, then gently pat it dry with a clean cloth.
If the stain is still visible, repeat the above steps until it has disappeared.
