Trying to get grease and mayo out of your favorite wedges can seem like a never-ending cycle of scrubbing and stain-fighting, but it doesn’t have to be! With these helpful cleaning tips, you can easily remove mayo stains from your favorite wedges.
The first step to removing a mayo stain is to blot affected area with a paper towel. This will help absorb any excess liquid and prevent mayonnaise from seeping into the fabric any further.
Spray stain with a laundry detergent or pre-treater designed for greasy stains. Work the detergent into the stain using an old toothbrush or cloth. Let the detergent sit on the stain for 10 minutes before moving onto step 3.
Wash the wedges with warm water and regular detergent. If you are dealing with a particularly stubborn stain, you may want to opt for a detergent specifically made for grease-stains. Dry the wedges in your dryer as you would normally.
Once your wedges are dry, inspect them for any residual mayo stains. If you still see a stain, repeat steps 1-4 until the stain is gone.
