If the mayonnaise stain is still fresh, carefully remove as much of excess as possible using a damp cloth or paper towel. Be careful not to rub too hard, as this can spread the stain further into watch material.
Mix some mild detergent with warm water and gently dab the stain with the solution until it has been fully covered. Allow the solution to sit on stain for 10 - 15 minutes before rinsing it off carefully with lukewarm water.
If regular soap and water isn't doing the job, try using rubbing alcohol. Like before, make sure to dab stain and not rub it, and let the alcohol sit for about 15 minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth.
When all else fails, you may need to use mineral spirits or turpentine to get the stain out. As always, test a small amount in an inconspicuous area of your watch first to make sure the material won't be damaged. Once it's determined that the watch material is safe, apply spirits or turpentine and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly.
Mayonnaise can be difficult to remove from watches, but with the right steps and materials, you can have it gone in no time. Always test whatever cleaning products you're using on a small, inconspicuous area before applying them to the stain - this will help to make sure your watch isn't damaged in the process.
