Removing the Stain Right Away

The first step to removing the mayonnaise stain is to act as quickly as possible. The sooner you start treating stain, better the results will be. Use a damp cloth to dab at stain in a gentle circular motion. This should help to remove the majority of the stain.

Using an Enzyme Detergent

Next, create a mixture of enzyme detergent and cold water and carefully apply it to the stain. Let the mixture soak into the stain for 5 minutes and then dab the area with a clean cloth. Afterward, you can rinse area with cold water until the stain has been completely removed.

Using a Mild Detergent

If the stain still remains after using enzyme detergent, you can try using a mild detergent instead. Mix a small amount of mild detergent and cold water, then gently rub the mixture into the stain. Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes before washing the area off with cold water. Afterwards, let the fabric air dry or use a hair dryer set on cool.
