Step 1: Blot with an Absorbent Material

As soon as you notice the stain, grab an absorbent material like a sponge or paper towel and blot the affected area. This will help soak up some of excess mayonnaise before you begin the cleaning process.

Step 2: Pre-Treat with a Cleaning Solution

Using a cleaner formulated for twill fabric, make a mixture of half cleaner and half water and using a white cloth, dab the stain. Resist the urge to rub or scrub as this can damage the fabric.

Step 3: Rinse, Launder, and Dry

Rinse the fabric with cold water until the residue from cleaner is gone, then launder and dry as normal. It's a good idea to check the stain after laundering and drying to make sure it is completely gone. If it's still there, repeat steps 2 and 3.

Bonus Steps: Pre-Treat With Vinegar or Detergent

If you don't have a cleaning solution specifically made for twill fabric, you can also pre-treat the stain with a mixture of detergent and vinegar or just white vinegar on its own. Follow the same steps as above and you should be able to get any mayonnaise stain out of your twill fabric in no time.
