When you get a mayonnaise stain on your tights, it can feel like there’s no hope. But don’t worry – with the right approach, you can get your tights looking good as new. Here’s what you need to do.

Step 1: Treat the Stain Right Away

The best way to tackle a mayonnaise stain is to treat it as soon as possible. Blot the stain gently with a cloth or paper towel to absorb as much of mayonnaise as you can.

Step 2: Use a Stain Remover for Clothes

Next, use a stain remover designed for clothes. If you don’t have a product like this on hand, you can make your own by mixing one part dish detergent and two parts white vinegar. Apply the solution to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water.

Step 3: Wash Tights

Once stain is gone, you can put the tights in the washing machine on the gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. Don’t use fabric softener or bleach, as these can set the stain. Allow the tights to air dry.
