3 Easy Steps to Rid Your T-Shirt of Mayonnaise Stains

Mayonnaise is a delicious condiment, but when it comes into contact with t-shirts it can leave an unsightly mess. Removing the stain doesn't have to be difficult. Follow these 3 easy steps and your t-shirt will be as good as new!

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Start by blotting away as much of the excess mayonnaise as possible with paper towels or a clean cloth. Be sure to blot from the outside in so that you don’t spread the stain further.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Area

Once you’ve blotted away the excess, pre-treat the area with laundry detergent. Use a sponge or scrub brush to work detergent into the mayonnaise stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before laundering as usual.

Step 3: Launder as Usual

Finally, launder the garment as you would normally. You may want to use a color-safe bleach on brightly colored garments to ensure the stain is fully removed. For best results, air dry your garment instead of using a dryer.
