What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Dish detergent
  • Sponge
  • Cold water
  • Wet cloth

Step 1: Blot and Dab the Stain

If the stain is still wet, use a dry, absorbing material like a paper towel or rag to blot the excess mayonnaise. You don't want to rub or scrub the mayonnaise into the fabric, as this could potentially spread the stain. Continue dabbing until as much of the mayonnaise is removed as possible.

Step 2: Use Dish Detergent

Once you've blotted the mayonnaise, you'll want to make a cleaning solution. Mix a few drops of dish detergent with cold water. Then, apply the solution onto the stain using a sponge. Once it is applied, leave it on for a few minutes so that the detergent can work its magic. Then, rinse off the detergent by blotting with the wet cloth.

Step 3: Use White Vinegar

After blotting the detergent off, if there is still some of stain left, you can use white vinegar. Soak a cloth in white vinegar and rub vinegar directly onto the mayonnaise stain. Then, rinse with cold water and hang up the slippers to dry.
