Grab some paper towels and try to blot away as much of the mayonnaise as possible. If necessary, use a rubber spatula to scrape off any excess mayonnaise. Make sure to blot up any moisture that has seeped into the fabric.
For older stains, you’ll need to take a more tenacious approach. Start by mixing warm water and a few drops of dish soap together in a bowl. Submerge the stained part of the t-shirt and let it soak for three minutes. Afterward, use a soft brush to gently scrub the area. Be sure not to scrub too hard, as this can damage the fabric.
Once you’ve finished scrubbing, rinse the t-shirt under cold water before throwing it into the washing machine. Before running cycle, add some white vinegar to the detergent to help break down any remaining grease. Run the cycle on a cold setting, and then hand dry the t-shirt. Once your garment is clean and fresh, you’re done!
